Our Opinion

As this device's price doesn't take much out of the customer's pocket, it performs well in all desired fields including camera, battery backup, fast charging (fast charger not provided in the box), and of course Wireless FM Radio, although a very few people FM radio over music streaming apps still its a rarely found feature.
12MP Dual Camera

Decent selfies, lag-free gaming, minimum battery backup of 2 days with 5000 mAh huge battery. Mirror-like back of phone reflecting things looks so insane, credit goes to Xiaomi's new "Aura Mirror" design. MIUI 10 based on Android Pie gives a smooth & lag-free UI experience. Well only con we can find actually find in this one is its Processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 439, which sounds like a downgrade to its predecessor. Other than that, it is a good upgrade over Redmi 7 if your budget is around 8k, waiting for Redmi Note 8 or Motorola One Macro is more worthied.

Price and Availability

The first five million users can get the higher variant at just Rs. 7999 as Xiaomi is celebrating being the number 1 smartphone brand in India for the past 8 quarters. They will even upgrade all the 3GB variant order to 4GB ones for amm, guess what free. Redmi 8 will be availaible in 3 usual colors of redmi and will go on sale on 12th October on Flipkart,, and offline Xiaomi's stores.
